Author's Note: I'm really sorry if this story doesn't sound fluent. I have had this in my head for, like, ever and I never had time to write it out. :)
CHAPTER II: Marcella
September 1st. The first day back at Hogwarts. Marcella had her case open, looking down at the contents, twisting the gold feather charm on her lucky necklace. Witch's robes? Check. Books for Potions, DADA, Charms, Arithmancy, and Herbology? Check. Better than average, but not the best broom: Nimbus 2001? Check. Yep, Marcella had everything she needed for another spectacular year at Hogwarts. Sighing, she sat on the edge of her bed, which was decorated in gold lions with red stitched swirls dancing around them.
Marcella and her twin, Alexicai were very different in many ways. One of them was how they decorated their rooms. Unlike Alexicai, Marcella had very bright themed decor. Shiny, gold and red wallpaper covered every square inch of the wall and posters of her fave Quidditch players hung over her bed. Marcella stared at the corner of her room where she had a display case of all the pictures and memories she had collected over the years at Hogwarts. The time she and her friend Delaney went into Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour and got triple scoops on cones in their first year. The time Hadley Grim's clothes caught fire when taking care of a blast-ended skrewt in second year. The time Marcella received her lucky necklace from her older sister, Cleone at Christmas in third year.
The biggest difference between the twins' rooms is the fact that Alexicai has a shelf full of trophies while Marcella simply had a ribbon award for Most Likely to Pass the O.W.L.s. Marcella hates how Alexicai gets more attention because she's a Quidditch star. Sometimes, Marcella got overly jealous, wishing she could be like Alexicai and then getting ashamed of herself.
Yelling from upstairs jolted Marcella from her trance. Zipping up her case and grabbing her broomstick, she took off towards the stairs. Marcella dropped her bags in the hallway and heard Cleone scolding Kronco for not being ready to leave. "What are you thinking?! We have to leave in five minutes!" Cleone exclaimed. Marcella stepped into Kronco's tornado zone room.
Kronco stood with his arms crossed in the middle of the mess and Cleone stood next to him rolling her eyes. An open case was lying on the ground, showing off all the jumbled up items inside. Alexicai sat on the bed tossing a glass ball in the air, seemingly enjoying the arguement. Olive, Marcella thought, was probably locked up in her room as usual. Cleone waved her wand and all the objects in the case became organized. "Okay, let's go. We can NOT be late for the first day of class," Cleone said. Marcella thought she heard Alexicai say, "Typical Cleone," as she hopped off the bed.
I wish my family weren't so big and didn't argue so much over the little things, Marcella thought, sighing as she walked down the stairs. Marcella even wondered if she could fly fast enough to reach Platform 9 3/4 on before 11 o'clock since her broom was just over average compared to her twin's...
